Maria Ntouma

Between memory and modernity, every project finds its own language.

Maria Ntouma, Architect and Interior Designer

Architect & Interior Designer

Maria Ntouma is an architect and interior designer based in Athens, creating residential, hospitality, wellness, commercial and public environments with a distinct emotional identity.

Her work is guided by the belief that architecture should be experienced rather than simply observed. Each project is developed as a composition of proportion, light, material, movement and sensory detail, balancing clarity and restraint with moments of warmth, sensuality and unexpected character.

Her work does not follow a fixed style. It moves freely between classical references and contemporary restraint, Mediterranean softness and carefully controlled moments of colour or theatricality. Every project begins with a distinct concept, developed from its place, purpose and people, so that each space acquires its own personality and emotional identity.

Maria approaches design through all the senses. Light defines rhythm and depth. Materials and textures shape the way a space is touched. Acoustics and sound influence calm, while temperature and scent contribute to comfort, intimacy and memory. The result is architecture that is not only seen, but felt.

A sensory study

“Spaces are not only seen. They are touched, heard, breathed and remembered.”

A Language Without a Formula

Classical memory. Contemporary clarity.

Each project starts from a concept of its own and is allowed to develop a distinct personality, material language and emotional register.

Design Language

Between classical memory and contemporary clarity.

01

Concept

Every project begins with a distinct central idea, shaped by its place, purpose and the emotional experience it is meant to create.

02

Materiality

Natural stone, warm timber, polished metal, tactile textiles and crafted details build a rich sensory experience.

03

Sensory Design

Light, sound, temperature, scent and touch are composed together to shape comfort, memory and emotional connection.

04

Individuality

The work moves freely between classical references and contemporary restraint. There is no fixed formula: each project develops its own personality and design language.

The Approach

01

Listen & Define

Every project begins with conversation. We listen to the client, the place and the life the space must support, then define a precise brief and a clear central idea.

02

Design & Refine

The concept is tested through layout, light, materials and bespoke details until every decision belongs to the same coherent design language.

03

Detail & Deliver

Drawings, custom elements, lighting and final styling are coordinated so the original concept remains clear through construction and completion.
