Kyparissia Residence & Guest House

The Project
A main residence and an independent guest house conceived as one coherent architectural composition on a shared plot in Kyparissia.
The two buildings are conceived as one coherent composition, with distinct entrances, private gardens and sheltered outdoor rooms. Their orientation, staggered volumes, planting and screening prevent direct views between the homes, allowing the main residence and guest house to function independently while remaining connected through the shared landscape.
The design interprets the architecture of Messinia through low clay-tiled roofs, pale mineral render, local stone, timber elements and reed-shaded pergolas. The result is contemporary yet grounded in the scale, materials and climate of the region.
One Plot · Two Homes
Designed as one composition. Planned for independent living.

Privacy by Design
The main residence and guest house share one architectural language, but each has its own entrance, garden and protected outdoor room. Their position, orientation, level changes and planted boundaries prevent direct overlook and create a clear sense of privacy.
Pale mineral surfaces, clay-tiled roofs, local stone, timber and reed pergolas reinterpret the regional vocabulary without reproducing it literally. Climate, scale and material continuity anchor the project in the architecture of the area.
